Eating to Live

Over the Memorial Day Holiday, my dad stopped by to cook us up some Egyptian food. He made a customized version of Loubieh, only with about two pounds of meat in it.

Sania loved it the first day, but as is normal in this case, she really enjoyed it the next day, when nobody was around to see but us. The proof is all over her face:

Finally, Some Smiles

Most of you know that we've been busy getting our house on the market, and subsequently selling it. It's been a lot of work, and I know I've neglected the blog. Unfortunately, it probably won't get better for a while, as June is full of fun and excitement, and we move in July.

Where to? We'll get back to you.

Anyhow, we had a rainy Sunday yesterday and Reid and I were home while the baby was taking a nap, and I noticed the light was coming in through window just so, and I grabbed the camera to get a couple nice shots of my boy smiling. I'm quite pleased with this one.

Then this afternoon, Sania was running around in her traditional way, demanding to see everyone's shoes, putting on strange hats, and smiling wide as can be. I lucked out with a couple shots of her.

It's strange to have sold this house, but still be living in it for two months. Tonight was one of Reid's run-around bouts, and he led K on the figure-eight obstacle
course for twenty solid minutes, just laughing the whole way (and periodically shouting "I broke the tape"). This is his first house, and the only house he's ever known. It's the house we started our family in, but it'll probably be forgotten by these kids. We'll say, 'We were still in the Edgewood house when Sania was born' and Reid will wonder what we're talking about.

The next house will be bigger, though, and have central air conditioning and more bathrooms, including, so help me god, one in the master bedroom. So it's all good.
