Reid's First Easter

Reid celebrated his first Easter at his Nonni's house, in Irwin, Pa. He had a good time tearing into his first Easter basket, in which he received a delicious Easter card (not intended for baby consumption), a surprisingly popular Cheerios transportation device, and, oddly, a dog, wearing a slicker, who sings "Singin' in the Rain" when his foot is squeezed. The dog does a little soft-shoe, and taps his foot while he sings. This item is priceless.

Reid also enjoyed some quality time with his Nonni, includeing the moment on the right above, where Nonni got a harsh reminder of the importance of caution when Reid is playing with the linking letters. Spinal health is very important to Reid. That explains his newest favorite activity, walking everywhere while one of his parents (usually Katrena) holds his two hands while painfully bending over him. Good times.

This Easter brought another great opportunity for some multigenerational smiling, sitting and drooling. Here's the breakdown:

  • Above center, Reid's cousin (actually, my cousin, Reid's second cousin or something like that) Ms. Giavana Marie Marino is caught red-handed eating the tutu off her Easter bunny.
  • At right, Reid reacts to his with disgust.
  • He would rather have the expensive camera I'm using to take these pictures (see above left, as Reid sets his jaw like Dick Cheney and heads in for the kill).
  • One row down, on left, Reid and Giavana share an exciting moment standing with furniture. Moments later, they both fell down as stunned and slow-moving parents looked on without aiding them, logy as the parents were with chocolate and ham consumption.
  • One row down, center, Reid yuks it up with his mom, his grandmother, and his great grandmother.
  • One row down right, four generations, right on a sofa, Reid, Me, my mom, her mom.
  • Two down left, Ried's cousin's Giavana and Anthony are joined by their parents Anthony and Renata, as well as Nana.
  • (Two down center) Pap-Pap and Nana take a shot at tending to all these crazy kids, but in the end (two down right), the infants overpower the grownups and have the couch to themselves.
