For Christmas this year, we all high-tailed it to Atlanta, GA, looking to spend a Christmas in the Peach State surrounded by grandparents, great grandparents and even uncles and aunts, great and regular. For Reid, Christmas brought a bounty of interesting things which fit well in his mouth. In the first three shots below, Reid's Christmas morning activities are well-accounted for. He took items from his stocking, chewed on them briefly and then went for more, he chewed on one of his first gifts (in the center photo) while posing in front of the Christmas tree, and he helped his dad, yours truly, open a nice pair of speakers that now make the baby-photo collage construction a more sonically enjoyable activity! Go Reid!

In this series of shots, Reid demonstrates the true meaning of Christmas as far as six-month old baby is concerned: wrapping paper. Nimbly plucking ribbon and wrapping paper from his dad's oafish attempt at opening a trio of sleepers Santa brought, Reid gets to the heart of the matter: get rid of ribbon, get rid of gifts, get tissue paper into mouth. Mission accomplished. In the final shot, you can see another one of his favorite activities, wildly whipping something that he had been storing in his mouth around so that the gift of slobber is given to everyone in the vicinity.

Rounding out Christmas in the American south, Reid sits on his grandmother's lap (above) and his grandpa's lap (below) and plays with a surprise hit gift from Santa, a quartet of big plush blocks. The irrepressible grin on his face in the third shot above and the two below is the product of the yellow member of the block family, which understandably makes an amazing quacking noise if squeezed correctly. For the first five days, this provoked peals of laughter from Reid. Of course, the adults abused this cheap path to Reid's pleasure node, and now the duck noise has no affect on the boy. In the final picture below, Reid meets and examines the face of his uncle Jason, whose family joined us on Christmas night. Also spending Christmas with Reid was his great grandma Mary, and his great uncle Richard and aunt Pam.

This final trio of shots would be worthy of including solely for the amazing smile the young master Reid delivers with such poise. But it is important to note that he is also showing off various and sundry Christmas gifts. First is an Megasaucer received in advance to guarantee that Reid was an expert by the time the holidays came around. The second shot features Reid getting comfortable in his new favorite place, the floor, sporting an insulated fleece number that a co-worker of his dad's gave him. The final shot is an attractive coat and hat which his mom inexplicably dressed him without any other clothing expressly for photographic purposes. The baby Gap airplane track jacket with matching hat was a gift from his uncle Sean and aunt Alia. The hat was placed on his head at that angle by Flavor Flav.
